  1. Oct 27 Hazardous Waste Worker Training 40 Hours, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    Training fulfills the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER) requirements for working on hazardous waste sites. Participants also receive certification in confined space awareness. A medical evaluation for respirator use is included at the start of this course. Hands-on includes donning various levels of PPE, performing remediation and decontamination procedures and confined space ventilation and rescue. This certificate is valid for one year. 

    Clean-shaven face is required for Respirator Fit Certification.

  2. Flagger Certification Training 4 Hours, 07:00AM - 11:00AM

    This course meets the State of Illinois requirement for workers who direct or work around vehicular traffic. Training will focus on proper procedures of stopping and releasing traffic on roadways, how to protect yourself, other workers, and the public in work zones through the proper use of signs, signals and barricades. Renewal period of four years.

  3. OSHA 30-Hour Safety and Health Course 5 Days, 07:00AM - 02:30PM

    This 5 - Day course encompasses all aspects of the 10-Hour OSHA training course with additional emphasis on safety and health management and additional topics covered in the construction standards.  Hazard recognition and elimination will be discussed in detail.  Recommended four year renewal period.

  4. Oct 28 Aerial Lift Training 4 Hours, 07:00AM - 12:00PM

    Training focuses on daily inspection, maintenance and safe operation relating to scissor and boom lifts. The majority of the training class time will be devoted to a hands-on environment. Renewal period of 4 years.

  5. Oct 29 Basic Construction Math 1 Day, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    This 8-Hour course is designed to expose participants to the basic math operations that are used as a construction craft laborer. Some of the exercises covered are reading a tape measurer, converting inches to decimal feet, principles of squaring rectangles and squares, and figuring area/volume of shapes to order materials. By the end of the course, participants will have a stronger grasp of math principles that directly support tasks in concrete, asphalt, excavation, grade checking, and general construction.

  6. Nov 3 Trenchless Rehabilitation 5 Days, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    This 5-day course offers a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on training, focused on the advanced technique of lateral lining using UV technology (Bluelight). The curriculum is designed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills essential for effective lateral lining. The course highlights lateral assessment, material wet out, equipment setup, and liner installation.

  7. Line and Grade 5 Days, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    This 5 - Day course will focus on the correct set up and use of the builder’s level for elevation control and transfer of grade. Course will also feature the use of a transit for basic layout. Renewal period of five years.

  9. Nov 17 Asbestos Abatement Worker Training 5 Days, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    This course fulfills all of the EPA, State of Illinois (IDPH) and Indiana (IDEM) requirements for obtaining an Asbestos Worker license. Hands-on activities include the use of air purifying respirators, construction of negative pressure containment and decontamination unit, as well as simulated removal and clean up of asbestos materials.

    Clean-shaven face is required for Respirator Fit Certification.

  10. Asbestos Abatement Worker Refresher 1 Day, 07:00AM - 03:00PM

    This annual refresher training fulfills all of the EPA, State of Illinois (IDPH) and Indiana (IDEM) requirements for maintaining an Asbestos Worker license. Students with an expired certificate for more than 12 months (Indiana) or 12 months (Illinois) are not eligible for reaccreditation and must retake the initial training course.

  11. Nov 18 Asbestos Abatement Supervisor Refresher 1 Day, 07:00AM - 02:30PM

    This annual refresher training fulfills all of the EPA, State of Illinois (IDPH) and Indiana (IDEM) requirements for maintaining an Asbestos Supervisor license. Students with an expired certificate for more than 12 months (Indiana) or 12 months (Illinois) are not eligible for reaccreditation and must retake the initial training course.

  12. Nov 20 Lead Abatement Supervisor Refresher "IAS" 1 Day, 07:00AM - 02:30PM

    This training fulfills EPA and State of Illinois (IDPH) requirements for maintaining a Lead Abatement Supervisor license. This certification is valid for three years. Students with an expired certificate for more than 12 months are not elligible for reaccreditation and must retake the initial training course.

  13. Nov 21 Hazardous Waste Worker Refresher "IAS" 1 Day, 07:00AM - 02:30PM

  14. Dec 6 OSHA 10-Hour Safety and Health Course 2 Days, 07:00AM - 02:30PM

    This 2 - Day course focuses on the purpose and role of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The objective of this class is to ensure a safe and healthy workplace by showing students how to identify and avoid unsafe working conditions and acts. Recommended four year renewal period.

  15. Forklift Training 2 Days, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    This 2-Day course deals with approved safety procedures for the operation of equipment. Basic operation of an industrial forklift, rough terrain forklift and pallet jack.

  16. Burning 2 Days, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    Training is designed to prepare Laborers for work on demolition projects and general construction sites. Classroom studies include OSHA regulations and safe work practices. During hands-on training, students will learn proper set up, follow correct torch procedures, as well as practice effective cutting techniques. Students will apply these learned skills with various fuels used in the industry, including acetylene and propylene. In addition to oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting is also introduced.

  17. Work Zone Safety 2 Days, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    In this two day course students willlearn proper work zone practices and protocols for general road work and highway work zones.  In addition they will also receive IDOT Flagger training. Safety topics will include concrete work, power tools, back safety, working around heavy equipment, and communication issues.

  18. Dec 8 Fall Protection Certification 1 Day, 05:00PM - 09:00PM

    Become aware of the technical information regarding the human body in fall arrest and suspension. This class will cover the different classifications of the Fall Protection Systems card. Classroom study of rules and regulations will be taught along with demonstrations and hands-on projects.

  19. OSHA 30-Hour Safety and Health Course 5 Days, 05:00PM - 09:00PM

  20. Dec 10 Equipment Test Out 1 Hour, 03:30PM - 09:00PM

    This course is only offered to experienced operators and/or individuals who have previously attended the Equipment Operation course. A time slot will be reserved for each student’s test out based on the equipment selected. Equipment available for test out: Skid steer. Class 4 industrial forklift. Class 7 rough terrain forklift. Boom Lift. Scissor Lift.

  23. Asbestos Awareness 1 Day, 05:00PM - 09:00PM

    This 8-Hour awareness course meets OSHA requirements for class IV asbestos work.  It is designed for construction workers that work near but do NOT intentionally contact of disturb ACM (Asbestos Containing Materials) or PACM (Presumed Asbestos Containing Materials)

  24. Dec 16 Hydro Mobile M2 Erector/Dismantler (E&D) 3 Days, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    Upon successful completion of this 3-day course, the participant will receive a Qualified Erector/Dismantler Certification which allows them to: erect, dismantle, test, pass for use, and modify the configuration of Hydro Mobile M2 units according to the guidelines, instructions, warnings, and methods provided in the owner’s manual and during this Hydro Mobile training course.

  25. Asbestos Abatement Supervisor Refresher 1 Day, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    This annual refresher training fulfills all of the EPA, State of Illinois (IDPH) and Indiana (IDEM) requirements for maintaining an Asbestos Supervisor license. Students with an expired certificate for more than 12 months (Indiana) or 12 months (Illinois) are not eligible for reaccreditation and must retake the initial training course.

  26. Dec 17 Confined Space Awareness 1 Day, 05:00PM - 09:00PM

    The 8-hour Confined Space in Construction Awareness course is an "awareness only" course which is intended to raise the participant’s level of understanding of the hazards associated to working in and around confined spaces. 

     

    This course will not train individuals to enter a permit required confined space or work as a member of a permit-required confined space entry team.

     Individuals who will be working as members of an entry team should take the 3-Day Permit-Required Confined Space Entry Safety course, which covers each topic in greater detail and provides more “hands-on” experience.

  27. Dec 18 Lead Abatement Worker Refresher "IAS" 1 Day, 07:00AM - 03:30PM

    This training fulfills EPA and State of Illinois (IDPH) requirements for maintaining a Lead Abatement Worker license. This certificate is valid for three years.
