Respirator Training Class

8 Hours

This 8-hour Respirator Training Class provides comprehensive instruction on the selection, use, limitations, maintenance, and storage of respiratory protection in accordance with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.134). Participants will learn how to identify respiratory hazards, understand different types of respirators, perform user seal checks, and recognize when respirators are required in the workplace. The course includes both classroom instruction and hands-on practice to ensure students are confident in correctly donning, using, and caring for respirators. Upon successful completion, participants will have the knowledge needed to safely protect themselves from airborne contaminants.

What happens next…?

  • You can submit an application on line and it will be delivered directly to the Training Fund.
  • Once received, your application will be assigned a position number and go into a course waiting list pool with all other applications.
  • Classes are scheduled based on demand. When we have received the minimum number of applications required to schedule a class, one will be added to the schedule.
  • Approximately one month before a class begins, texts are sent out to members on the waiting list. This text will offer you a seat in the class of your choice, but you must call the Training Fund to confirm your seat.
  • Your application will automatically be removed from the system after 6 months, so please reapply if you have not received notification from us.
